How to Bloom Where You Are Planted

God has a way of turning our burdens into blessings. However, this cannot happen if we allow our ego or emotions to get in the way. If you’ve been assigned to an unknown season, then I’m sharing a few tips on how to bloom where you are planted.

Bloom Where You Are Planted:

Feedback is helpful but stop seeking affirmation from the outside world.

See and speak good things about your completed work. One verse that always comes to my mind is Genesis 1:31 where it is written, ”And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good…”

I love that verse so much because it reminds me to pause and give respect in the process!

Whether it’s a new outfit you made, your new budget or a work project, see the good in what you’ve finished or completed. You don’t need outside voices to validate your journey in this season.

Find one piece of joy in each day.

Tomorrow is not promised to us so find one thing to smile or giggle about at some point in the day. If you find joy in spending time with your family or just drinking out of your favorite mug, count it as joy!

On really rough days, I will reach for my gratitude list and look back over some joyful moments from the past, too!

Everyday isn’t perfect but a piece of joy is always helpful!

Don’t compare your season to anyone else’s season.

This is the easiest way to derail yourself! Keep your focus on your own path to protect your peace.

Even when it doesn’t look or feel like it, you are blessed! Don’t let jealousy or bitterness infect the fertile ground you’re standing on.

God has already given you the victory so hold your ground!

Be careful about taking shortcuts or being impulsive.

It’s very tempting to try something that’s new but risky in your life or business to shake things up. Slow down and pause.

Remember that promotion comes from God. He is your source and not man.

In your prayer time, ask God to guide you and give you insightful wisdom in this season.

Immerse yourself in God’s Word.

In addition to using prayer time, take time to read your bible or listen to sermons. The living word can reveal a key item that can lead to an answer or next step.

Trust the process as you bloom where you are planted.

Keep showing up for yourself, taking action and taking time daily to sit with God to listen for direction. I always remind myself that this too shall pass and a harvest is on the horizon!

The most important thing is to keep trusting that you are growing throughout your journey. Wishing you the best!

This post was all about blooming where you are planted.
